I'm going to focus on just one aspect of what was a wonderfully memorable trip, and that was the hard work, dedication and professionalism of the entire crew and staff. On a trip like this, you don't want to just feel comfortable, you want to feel that you're in competent, capable and safe hands, and this is how I felt every day during our cruise--absolutely first-class in this respect!

My daughter and I had the trip of a lifetime! It was amazing! The ship was comfortable and performed well. The crew were outstanding in their execution of their duties and engagement with the passengers. The expedition crew was frosting on the cake. So knowledgeable about the animals and the region. They were excellent presenters of their lectures and very personable, accessible, warm and friendly with the passengers. We were very fortunate to have weather on our side. We were able to make every landing except the last one. The wildlife was abundant. We saw in all, probably a million penguins, of six varieties, four species of seals, humpback whales and many birds. Everyday we were in awe of the landscapes, animals, and history. The trip brought to our attention the importance of healthy oceans and ocean animals. I will never forget this adventure. It has encouraged me to go to the Arctic.

I really enjoyed this trip. I have a few points of criticism. 1. Living in the US, I'm used to tipping for good service. However, the policy of pooling all tips and distributing equally to staff seems wrong. No doubt your captain and hotel manager are well paid. Do they need the same tip as the less well paid staff? It seems to me that the higher paid crew should opt out of getting tips in favor of those paid less. 2. The illness prevention policy needs rethinking. You require covid vaccination, but did not require a negative test. We were both in good health upon boarding. We tested negative for covid before leaving home and before boarding (antigen test). On the ship I noticed many people coughing and sneezing, but not wearing masks. No mention of masks was made, nor any recommendation offered on respiratory hygiene in the opening briefing. On day 6, I became ill and positive for covid. I acquired Covid on your ship. Could have avoided this with better education and a pre-boarding testing program. 3. Oral presentations by staff were often not very good.. Charlotte, Lothar, Pippa, Chloe: excellent. Others could use more training and feedback

The food and rooms were nice. The staff was pleasant and informative. They tried to get us into as many landings for wildlife viewing as possible. My favorite location was South Georgia Island where we say numerous seals and penguins. The vessel is very stable.

Super organisiert und aus dem Wetter das Beste gemacht

We had a marvellous holiday, enjoyed the junior suite and joined in all the zodiac expeditions. The food was excellent. The ship was very comfortable. The staff were second to none. Pippa and Michael need a special mention because they were first class. It was a trip of a lifetime. We saw every bird and animal we expected to see except Orca but we can live without that. I would recommend Oceonwide to everyone!

We were lucky with relatively calm seas and great weather so were able to zodiac cruise and land every day. Thank you so much to: the expedition team who tirelessly provided knowledge and wonderful experiences with wildlife and landscape. the hotel staff, again tirelessly looking after us and providing exquisite dining experiences. the captain and crew for navigating us through narrow channels to new daily adventures while keeping everything from zodiac loading and reloading to water purification systems to sanitation systems running smoothly. For us it was the experience of a lifetime and the accompanying teams and staff helped make that happen. I cannot recommend highly enough ! and thanks also for perfect weather!

This trip exceeded all our expectations in terms of spectacular scenery, prolific wildlife, superb crew and expeditions staff on the relatively small vessel MV Plancius which made for a very informal and relaxed vibe throughout the voyage.

What shall I say....... amazing!!! I didn't know what to expect. I met a hardworking team. A team with a lot of energy, with kindness, with love, with patience, that is helpful. On the whole ship, from captain till the mechanics.. And that make the expedition!! It was hard working and I loved it. Every day a good program with a lot of flexibility. A very good ship. The food was delicious. A good hut, with good beds, warm shower. Luxury on all sides. I also saw the other huts and I was satisfied with mine on deck 4. I had luck with the weather, luck with all the animals I saw. Even the jumping whale, without the picture. That doesn't matter, I have seen him!! I met nice people. There was a nice Dutch group. We play games and were sitting together into the zodiac with Saskia. The highlight may be: the jumping whale. And the rest was on the same level. I cannot choose. But sometimes I'm afraid of all the tourist who are coming to the Artics. It was very busy in Ushuaia, more then ten years ago. Now we didn't see an other ship, but how long will this taken before we see each other and lay side by side at a beach and go with 20 zodiacs together to the beach. But I enjoy and hope we ca

Life enriching experience. Team and staff excellent: prepared, well trained and enthusiastic. Boat very comfortable, food very good. Activities always up and above expectation! Thank you!

An experience that exceeded all our expectations. Extremely professional staff and guides. Unbelievable vistas. We are still digesting where we have been and and what we have done long after our expedition.

2 things i was disappointed in was that trays of hot foods, ie main entry were not hot, even if i was there when dining room first opened.Would like to have a small gym, maybe a bicycle & treadmill. my favorite person was Tiffany, the exped leader from Faulklands

We had a wonderful 18 day expedition on the Hondius. The wildlife and scenery were magnificent. All of the crew were wonderful and constantly cheerful. The expedition crew were highly professional and worked tirelessly to maximise the number of landings, despite adverse weather conditions. Our twin porthole cabin was very comfortable, we slept better than at home!

An excellent Oceanwide 18 day trip to the Falklands, South Georgia and Antarctica. Fantastic to walk amongst the wildlife in all 3 places. Watching the young male Elephant Seals 'fighting' at 2 beaches on South Georgia was truly extraordinary, especially as they were in the amidst hundreds of King Penguins and fur seals...

Extraordinary experience on the Hondius travelling from Ushuaia to Falklands, South Georgia, South Orkney and Antarctica Peninsula, unique concentration of wildlife in the world, amazing polar scenery and landscape, fascinating glaciers, great expedition crew and service, good weather forecast ... all ingredients to produce a great result. We love you all.
